Annual Queens Book Fair – in Pictures

The 2nd Annual Queens Book Fair, organized by Beyond the Abuse, was held at The Harvest Room in Jamaica, New York. The book fair featured more than 20 authors including Nepali authors Kishor Panthi and Kiran Marahatta.

Kiran Marahatta, famous television journalist in Nepal, currently based in New York, presented  his book “Nepali Who is Who in the USA” which was released by California State University, Long Beach, CA. This book is considered as the most noteworthy reference materials to understand regarding Nepali-American community particularly their social-economic and cultural life.

Kishor Panthi is a NY based journalist. He is the founder and editor in chief of Khasokhas, a Nepali media in New York City. He is the first accredited Nepali journalist by US Department of State. He is an anchor, host and US representative for ABC Television Nepal. Kishor Panthi is the primary host of the ABC Television (Nepal) talk show Talk of the Town USA. He is the news editor from 2008 and US Bureau chief from 2010 of ABC Television (Nepal). He served as a news anchor and news editor.
